Section 2 - Purpose

This agreement documents a temporary remote work arrangement for Stephani Platt from June 25, 2026 through August 14, 2026.

The purpose of this agreement is to create clarity, consistency, and trust. B Line Events wants to support this temporary remote work request while making sure client work, team communication, event execution, and in person planning continue to run smoothly.

Both parties enter this agreement with the shared understanding that the Employee is expected to return to San Francisco based work at the end of the agreement term unless an extension or modified arrangement is approved in writing.

This agreement supplements the Employee’s standard employment agreement, the B Line Events Employee Handbook, and applicable company policies. For the specific items addressed here, this agreement governs during the agreement term.

Section 3 - Remote Work Expectations

The Employee is approved to perform regular job duties remotely from a professional workspace for the duration of this agreement while maintaining Pacific Time working hours.

The Employee agrees to:

If the Employee plans to work from a different state or location for 30 or more consecutive days, they must notify Ashley Mirkovich at least 30 days in advance so B Line can review any operational, payroll, compliance, or client impact.

Section 4 - In Person Attendance

Remote work changes the Employee’s day to day work location. It does not remove in person responsibilities when attendance is important for client delivery, site planning, event execution, or leadership priorities.

During this temporary arrangement, the Employee may be required to attend certain in person business needs, including:

B Line will provide as much advance notice as practical and will make reasonable efforts to group in person obligations into fewer trips when possible.

Company social events and outings, including summer outings, holiday celebrations, and other team gatherings, are encouraged when practical but are not required under this temporary remote work agreement unless the event includes a separate business need directly tied to the Employee’s role.

If there is uncertainty about whether in person attendance is required, the Employee and Ashley Mirkovich will align in advance so expectations are clear and travel can be planned thoughtfully.

Section 5 - Travel and Expenses

B Line’s goal is to apply travel and expense coverage consistently and transparently. During this temporary remote work arrangement, B Line will reimburse expenses that would be approved under the B Line Events Employee Handbook or that are authorized as client billable project costs.

The Employee may be responsible for travel costs created by the temporary remote arrangement. This includes travel to San Francisco for required site visits, planning meetings, event support, or other in person business needs, unless B Line approves a written exception in advance.

Project expenses are reviewed based on the project need, the client SOW, and B Line policy, not based on the Employee’s preferred remote location.

Reimbursement will depend on what is required for the project, what is client billable, what is approved in advance, and what would be reimbursable under B Line policy for an employee assigned to that project.
ScenarioExpense Standard
Required San Francisco site visit or planning meetingEmployee may be responsible for airfare or other travel costs created by working remotely outside the Bay Area
Required on site event supportClient billable or Handbook approved expenses may be reimbursed when approved in advance
Optional company outing or social eventAttendance is not required, and personal travel costs are not reimbursed
East Coast project assigned while Employee is temporarily East Coast basedExpenses are reviewed based on project requirements and pre-approval, not as West Coast to East Coast travel by default
Expense not approved in advanceReimbursement is not guaranteed

All expenses must be approved by Ashley Mirkovich before being incurred, except for client billable costs already authorized within a project SOW. Expenses should be submitted through Expensify within 7 calendar days of being incurred or within 7 calendar days of return from travel.

Section 6 - Performance and Agreement Review

This temporary remote work arrangement is intended to support both the Employee and the business. Continuation of the arrangement through the agreement term depends on the Employee continuing to meet the expectations of the Project Manager, Events role, including:

If concerns arise around performance, availability, communication, or in person attendance, Ashley Mirkovich will address them directly with the Employee so expectations are clear and there is an opportunity to correct course where appropriate.

B Line may modify or end this agreement with 30 days written notice if business needs, role requirements, company policy, or unresolved performance concerns require a change. The Employee may also request modifications by submitting a written request to Ashley Mirkovich. Any modification requires written approval from Ashley Mirkovich and Elizabeth Brown.

Section 7 - End of Term

This agreement is expected to end on August 14, 2026, with the Employee returning to San Francisco based work unless an extension or modified arrangement is approved in writing.

If the Employee needs additional time, they should submit a written request to Ashley Mirkovich no later than July 23, 2026. The request should include the proposed new end date, reason for the extension, and confirmation that the Employee can continue meeting role expectations and required in person business needs.

Ashley Mirkovich will review the request with Elizabeth Brown and respond in writing. Approval is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, role requirements, performance, team capacity, and the Employee’s ability to meet the expectations in this agreement.

If the Employee does not return by August 14, 2026 and no written extension has been approved, B Line will treat that as a material change in the work arrangement. Ashley Mirkovich will meet with the Employee promptly to understand the situation, review business needs, and determine appropriate next steps in consultation with Elizabeth Brown and Insperity.

Continued remote work beyond the agreement end date is not approved unless confirmed in a signed written agreement.

Section 8 - Acknowledgment and Signatures

By signing below, both parties confirm they have read, understood, and agree to the terms in this Temporary Remote Work Agreement, including the expectation that the Employee will return to San Francisco based work at the end of the agreement term on August 14, 2026, unless an extension or modified arrangement is approved in writing.

Both parties should retain a signed copy. The executed copy should be stored in the Employee’s personnel file, maintained by Insperity or equivalent, and shared with the COO.
